Let’s Talk about tomorrow’s Champions League Qualifiers, starting with FK Vardar vs FC Copenhagen.
These two sides have never met before, so will be interesting to see how these two sides play each other. With Copenhagen winning the Superliga last year by a 12-point gap to Brondby, I feel the Danish side to prevail on top tomorrow when they visit FK Vardar from Macedonia.
After a far-from-impressive previous qualifier for Copenhagen, against Zilina from Slovakia which ended 4-3 to the Danish side on aggregate, I expect the squad to come out in force and make up for the close call from the previous round.
Copenhagen have only scored 2nd half goals in this years qualifiers – same said with tomorrows opponents Vardar, which suggests to me that BTTS in 2nd half seems a brilliant call at 11/4.
Vardar, who topped the Macedonian 1st division last year, their previous round ended surprisingly well when they knocked out opponents Malmo 4-2 on aggregate, but with that said I doubt that Vardar will defeat Copenhagen tomorrow.
My bets for this game are;- BTTS in 2nd half – YES (11/4), Copenhagen to win and over 2.5 goals (13/8) and Copenhagen to win in 90mins at (3/4)
Let’s move onto the next game, AEK vs CSKA Moscow.
These two teams have never met in competitive football, and will definitely be an even game of football, AEK Athens finished 2nd in the Superleague after play-offs last season as-well as CSKA Moscow who also finished 2nd in the Russian League last season.
AEK Athens haven’t played a competitive game this season but they have had an impressive pre-season with 2 wins out of 3 games and a 1-1 draw against Gent. With that being said, CSKA Moscow are underway in the Russian League after having played 2 matches so far and only winning 1.
The Russian side have scored in the 1st half in their last 6 matches which suggests to me they will score 1st in tomorrows tie. It is really hard to split these two sides and pick a winner so unfortunately I will not be betting on an outright winner.
My bets for this game are;- Over 2.5 goals to be scored (13/8), BTTS No Draw (5/2) and a goal in both halves – YES (6/5).
